Tea Shoppe

Language of Friendship

I have another SAS coming up. These are some cards I came up with.

The first was inspired by this card in the SCS gallery. I fell

in love with the layout. It's made from the clear boxes found here.

Really simple and easy to make, and fun. I plan on adding a couple

tea bags to the inside. Must go shopping first, as no one in my house

drinks tea. This set is called Tea Shoppe, it's in the current Mini.

The second card is a SAB set called Language of Friendship.

The Bird Cage isn't SU, it's Tim Holtz. But I had to use it!

It was too perfect not to use it.

Candy Box Card

Hello and Happy Monday!

This is an idea that I came up with a couple weeks ago.

It's a clear box from ClearBags.com I attached CS to the left side of the clear box with 1/2 Red Line tape from TexasJodyLynn, scored and folded the card front over the top of the box. Then just slid the "back" of the card inside the box. Wrapped 4 Hershey's nuggets, embellished them with punched flowers, and placed them in the box. The box is the perfect size to hold them in place.

SAB kick off party!

These are the cards from my SAB kick off party this past Sunday.

I so enjoyed spending time with some of my FAVORITE people in the world

for a little stamping, eating, and most importantly laughing.

I love these ladies! Even coming off of a rough week, middle of winter

blahs...they will keep you in tears (the HAPPY ones) all day long.

Thanks for coming out ladies, you always support me in my SU business and I truly

appreciate you. Kathi and Gloria, you were truly missed....but we do thank you

for not sharing your crud! lol

It called The Queen's Ink and it's a

wonderful store. She carries lots of Tim Holtz

products and I love me some Tim!

I found this everything I used to make this tag

yesterday at her store!

She had lots of tags on display and as soon as looked

MFT November VIP set and it's YUMMY!

I've been making these flowers for a few months now

they are easy but it takes so much cutting...

is DELICIOUS. This was last years SU regionals free stamp set it's called

This is his first haul! lol $93.53 dollars worth of stuff and the total was after coupons and store rewards was .53! I think my kid has a gift! He is now in charge of shopping for our home.

Dog Treat's

I made this dog treat container a couple weeks ago.

I have a dear friend who just loves her dog. Her Dogs like mine

more than just a pet they're family!

She was hosting our stamping groups yearly Birthday Bash..I needed a hostess

gift and this idea came to mind while I was in Petco getting cookies for my pup.

To make this I used a empty and washed mayo jar. MFT nesting labels dies (LOVE),

paper is from BoBunny, and CS is SU.

Hello Everyone!

I've been a little MIA lately.

I have a New Catalog open house coming up this weekend.

So I've been busy with my Make and Takes and Thank You gifts.

This is one of those projects that as soon as I got started

I was thinking "what was I thinking"!

These scissors charms are adorable but

stringing these beads is beyond my patience level.

Love them but don't think I'll be making more!

I used the new SU DSP Just Add Cake, M's Glitter Paper,

and the Tim Holtz distressed flowers die to create the flowers.

The Lollipops are also from M's. They are in the wedding section

and are by Wilton. They come in a cute little kit complete with the

Thank You stickers. They match this SU DSP nicely.

The pinwheels are also SU Just add Cake DSP.

I used a SU butterfly stamps and shrinky dink plastic

to create the charms. All beads, and clasps are from M's.

I really like this stamp! It's from the current SU mini.

I've seen some really beautiful cards made with it.

Here is my first attempt at using it.

Got the idea from SCS. I used a nestie to make the oval

mask, used vanilla craft ink and inked in the oval,

used my heat tool to set the ink. Then stamped the boat,

and sponged the baja ink on top of the vanilla ink.

Very easy technique, yet very pretty.

Finally used my Cute By The Inch set!

Whoohoo!

Needed some easy Thank You notes...

For these I used Rose Red, Whisper White, SU stack DSP.

I used a nestie to cut the base, used a sizzix daisy die to cut the

clear plastic for the "ghost flower".

Also used the SU petal card punch, and the SU

Cute By The Inch stamp set.

Door Treat Holder

Made this little door hanger

yesterday for my youngest son.

He hasn't been feeling great so

made him a special treat.

I put some candy, glow sticks,

and collectible cards in it.

MFT Wayatt and his Wagon Stamps, old SU DSP I found while cleaning, copics, ribbon, nestie circle, silver brads, SU oval punches.

Door Hanger:

Base is 7 1/2 X 4 1/2

pocket is 7 X 5 1/2

Put CS in score tool (I use the MS score board) your going to score down the short side, score @ 1in, 1 1/2, 5 1/2, 6in Turn your CS, score @ 4in, cut the 1in squares off the bottom corners, fold and attach to front of hanger.

This layout was a SCS challenge

it was fun I've never tried this type of

curved split layout.

This is my favorite set from the Occasions Mini.

Couldn't wait to ink it up.

This is the first card that I've made using

Nature Walk. Also loving this embossing folder,

and the beveled windows and amazing.

If you take a SU marker and satin

ribbon.....yep it works! I had no

Bermuda Bay ribbon so made my own.

How cute is this Dinosaur Boy?!

My 7yo son has been obsessed with Dinosaurs

from the time he laid eyes on them.

So when I found this set on the MFT site....

I had to have it!

To make this card I used lots of stuff I've had

hanging around for a while.

My friend Dawnmarie (hi DM!)

cut and gave me the clouds and felt grass to

try out and what can I say loving them!

She gave them to me months ago but hey

better late than never right!?!

The cloud paper was also given to me

This set is called Little Loveosaurus it's

from MFT stamps and it's CUTE!

Mason Jar Pin Cushion

My project for the day.

I found this fabric at Hobby Lobby in the remnants section

and immediately this project came to mind.

I was inspired by the Pin Cushion in the SU Occasions Mini.

Really a simple project if you better with a glue gun than I am...

I burned 4 of my 10 fingers...ah the things I will endure

for my friends! lol

This is another gift going out soon.

To make the tags I used the SU set Tiny Tags.

LOVE this set it's turning into one of my

go-to sets, seem to be using it all the time.

Mini Clipboard for a Friend

Mini SU clipboard, covered with Basic Grey DSP, Lots of different lace and trims, letter cut using my Cricut machine.

Love the MFT rolled flower die!

Letter is covered in Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

I used my sewing machine to stitch the Ric-Rac

to the DSP to make the pen holder.

I made this little clipboard for a friend.

This is another goodie from the SU clearance rack.

I have white post it notes on order

they will be in this week...so after they

get here I'll add one to the clipboard.

Loved making this!

Really cute and easy to make.

I found a tutorial on SCS and fell in love.

The folders I found on the SU clearance rack as well

as the matching DSP! Whoo Hoo for a good sale!

The note pad is from the ACMoore $1 rack.

The paper flowers I made using the new MFT Rolled flower dies.

Really fun and really easy to use.

Can't really see it in the pics but I sprayed the flowers with

Glimmer Mist to give them some sparkle.

Because they are layer with CS vs just coloring

on the transparency they had to be

Altered Mailbox

Rainy Day in Maryland.

Its a good day to stay home and alter something!

I found this really neat mailbox at a local thrift store

for $2. I loved the scallop boarder around the top

of the mailbox.

Sorry the pics are so dark! One day I'll have a stamp studio

with lots of natural light....a girl can dream.

I painted the box Cherry Red (lowes) it matches SU cherry cobbler perfect.

Used Greenhouse Gala DSP (SU) to cover the middle of the box.

For the scallop I use the new SU die Tasteful Trim and

chocolate chip CS. Then used some crocheted flowers

from the same thrift store, made the leaves with a nestie die and matching DSP,

the pearls are from MM they were white and I needed cream so I colored them with

a light brown copic marker.

Teacher Treats

Hello Everyone!

These are Teacher Treats that I made today.

They are an old stand by in the Stamping world but

just what I needed this year. Time hasn't been on

my side lately. Seems I always have more to do than

time to get it all done. So quick and cute was just

what I needed to get these done!

I used Black SU cardstock, Spiderweb embossing folder,

white chalk ink and Offray ribbon to create the candy bar slider.

The Stamp Set used in one of my very favorites! I just

love this set its called Batty for You is from SU.

So easy and fun to use and NO COLORING!

Whoohooo for that, when you don't have a lot of time.

This little project is for a SU show tomorrow.

I'm a "hobby Demo" so I don't do shows really

but a friend asked if I could do it...so I'll do

it for her.

It's a votive candle (flameless) holder.

Problem with Cling Mount stamps....?

Anyone else having this problem?

Cling mount SU stamps not sticking to the box.

I was at a SBS a couple weeks ago and

someone had came up with a

great solution for this problem.

Problem ^ ****************** Solution ^

This is the solution! Peal and Stick the negative piece of rubber

into the case, punch out and add the stickers just as directed

then simply push them back into the cutout.

It works like a charm!

Just wish I would have found this solution sooner!

I'm sure you will keep me from loosing stamps

Hello Crafty Friends!

I'm hosting another Shoe Box Swap in Oct. but the

swap will be Christmas/Winter themed.

These are going to be for a little game.

All but 4 have ribbon inside the special 4 will have

something more! Can't give it away just yet...

several ladies that attend my swaps read my blog.

So just a little teaser for them!

I just love the pillow box die!

It's one of the easiest dies to use, they don't

take a ton of red tape.

Just a GREAT die. I'm also in love

with these two stamp sets

Tiny Tags is truly a MUST HAVE

it adds that little something without

digging for hours for the perfect embellishment.

Punch Potpourri is a SU level 1 hostess set

and it's GREAT it will be a go-to stamp set for years to come!

School Punch Cards.

My Oldest is having a hard time in 1st grade. He's not wanting to

let Mommy go! So the Teacher and I came up with a punch card idea,

if he keeps a smile in the mornings and through out the day he will get a

punch on his card. At the end of the week he gets a special treat of his choice (within reason).

Border Punch Technique

I made these card a few weeks ago I've had so

much fun with the Border Punch Technique.

You just take any border punch Martha and Fiskars used here

and cut them so they have a quarter inch strip under the boarder then

take scissors and cut about every quarter inch along the strip then tape on the

underside of a nestie circle. Really easy and now I don't feel the need

to buy the new nesties! Saving money by using crap I already have

is a VERY GOOD THING!

Oh and love the new SU Greeting Card Kids!

This little girl is just beyond adorable!

I've been really busy but now that my boy's are back to school maybe I can

Teacher Appreciation Gifts

Teacher Appreciation Gifts.

This week is teacher appreciation week so this is something that I came up with

that is using up stuff I've already got laying around. Got to love that.

The pencil cups are from Pier One they were on sale for .25 each. Found them

like a year ago at a pier one that was closing.

The flower stems are pencils also had laying around here used a dozen for each holder.

The flowers I cut using my Cricut machine. Made this a much quicker project. No

way I would have done this with the sizzix.

The paper is an older DCWV stack I think. It's single sided paper

so I used ink pads and a brayer to ink the white side of the paper.

The ribbon is from Offray ribbon outlet.

I used red line tape to stick the flowers to the pencils so they can easily

be picked off and used as pencils.

All CS and DSP is SU, Copic markers, SU ink pads, Coats and Clark Heavy Duty thread (white), MM brads silver, The star I cut using scrap plastic from a sizzix die package, and a sizzix star die. Great way to save money and adding a 'green' element to your cards.

What is it about the end of the school year! LOL

So much to do so very little time.

Oh well between planning our summer trip and the boy's

schools I've been quiet busy. I did have some fun making so things

for friends.

The Clipboard was a gift to my friend Mary. For her

Birthday just got it to her over the weekend.

The butterflies are lots of fun to make and easy!

The butterfly is a CrossCuts die (works with Sizzix) used it cut chipboard and DP.

Nothing to it fun and easy perfect little girl gift.

clear embossing powder. Prima flowers, copic markers, Curry ink (SU).

Paper came in my Unity KOTM and stamp is from SU.

Happy Birthday Rose!

Just love this box! I used Offray Ribbon and BG paper to bring this box to life.

The flowers are Spellbinders Dies I used matching BG paper to create them and bling brads

to give them a little pop.

This is from the BG sticker sheet. Metal tags are from MM.

Paper Bag book inside.

I stamped the 3 tags with some friendship sayings.

This was quiet the project took something like 8-9 hours to complete. Not hard just lots of

details and steps to complete.
